You Don't Love Me Now

Private client. Sleeve design, packaging design and art direction.

Completed 2014.

Named after a line from the Kristal song "Love In Stereo"...

The design has a stripped-down, De Stijl-inspired look that combines austerity and simplicity with vibrancy and color...

Giving a sleek style to the unabashedly poppy Italo Disco tracks within...

An update to a older style of music that was big in the '80s but whose influence is more and more apparent in today's electronic music...

There is also an unexpected solemnity in the cover, fitting the melancholy title, "You Don't Love Me Now"...

Which could also be seen to show the intersection of two forms - perhaps a man (stereotypically blue) and a woman (stereotypically pink).
